The protea is one of the most striking flowers in the world, with a bold, crown-like bloom that has made it a favourite of florists and designers. This artificial stem captures that form in detail, with layered, pointed petals in dusty mauve around a soft centre and sage-green leaves along a sturdy stem.
A single protea makes a statement on its own in a bud vase, bottle or ceramic jug, while two or three create a sculptural, exotic arrangement. Combine it with dried grasses, eucalyptus or pampas for a modern, textural bouquet.
Because it is artificial, it needs no water and keeps its shape and colour all year. Dust gently with a soft brush and keep away from strong direct sunlight.
